I still like Vaderios' altered image the best, but I would prefer the 2ND color correction @ the 0:14 mark; the last one (4th color correction) the sand looks a little TOO yellow for me.

What I like about Vaderios' image is how the pillars and the background stand out from the sand and the rest of the setting.

Another idea could be to add humans and other aliens (as an alternate take on the rebels in the OT as in the various "rebels/seperatists" are gathering together to watch their enemies die), which would in turn allow someone to edit in gladiator crowd scenes from other movies - you may have to edit in some STAR WARS aliens to said crowd shots, but it could spice things up from a crowd of nothing but a bunch of bugs.
