Now the dashboard is darkened, the monitor has more of a glowing effect, the images move more, and there is aurebesh text on display. Disregard the final 20 seconds or so, as that was a mistake.

Probably your best one simply because of the editing (the changes between the monitor and Han and Leia, save perhaps from the last cut, are precisely where I thought they should be.) The way it is now feels natural and doesn't hurt the flow of the scene whatsoever.

The real problem remains finding a hi-res picture of the Falcon's cockpit instrumentation... as good as your clip looks on its own, compared to ady's edit the quality would likely stick out like a sore thumb (unless, of course, your clip is better looking than what we're seeing on youtube, which is almost a given).

That was always the biggest problem with this mockup for me, was being unable to get a hold of a hi-res dashboard image. There just doesn't seem to be one out there! I would probably be better off finding an image that is at least close enough to looking like the Falcon's dashboard, rather than using the actual image of it, which is blurry and pixelated.
