Software and machines are completely constructed for specific Effects. Mostly these companies make their own software and hardware and enhance the current ones (3d max-maya etc)

Despite the fact that their computer power are superior and they have programs that is not available for public (f.e: Flint)

Thank god they still use Photoshop :P
