For some reason I simply can't understand why so many people feel this tiny little scene needs to be changed so badly. It is way beyond me. Having a visible screen in the shot does absolutely nothing to improve the scene, and so far all the examples have done wonders in distracting from it, looking jarring, or being pointless. Besides, didn't this idea get shot down by Ady about five pages or so ago?

We are on to more important stuff now, like whether or not the floating gas mine thing should be replaced with a merry-go-round and Cloud City by a top. Personally, I really like the surrealness too it. From a poetic standpoint, I think it is absolutely perfect for the scene. Reminds me a lot of the end of Monkey Island 2 where all reason and logic falls out the window and the imagery thrown at you makes your head spin.

Imagine Luke flying toward a giant top to rescue his friends. It is weird and bizzare, and Luke doesn't even seem to notice. It is symbolic of how the mysteries that cover his earily childhood and origins are about to start to fad away and his life is about to be turned upside down. I think this scene absolutely NEEDS to be kept this way. All the other Cloud City bits should be the real Cloud City of course, but for Luke's approach it HAS to be the top. Seriously, if you don't make this change your edit is going to suck and I am not even going to bother watching it. I BEG you Adyway, I BEG you! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE seriously consider going with this idea. I think it will improve the movie in ways you can't POSSIBLY IMAGINE! Now go Adywan, go and do what MUST be done!
