^it also doesn't seem to jive with Han's character. He doesn't seem like an Ipod/touch screen/hologram kind of guy. All the switches and buttons etc. is what allows Han to have (or feel he has) more control of the MF plus it does give the MF more character. You also have to take into account that this is a vehicle. When in a battle and things are fast, you don't have the time to go through a touch screen menu to activate the right command. It's easier, quicker and better to just hit a button or flip a switch and start shooting.
What I love so much about the OT is that very look and feel that the MF has, of being 'old' 'used' and 'dirty'. it felt more real that way. The PT is too sleek, new, and 'Star Trek' in its design that I didn't like it at all. It felt more 'cheesy' then a cool 'sci-fi' movie.
In short, I agree w/ Ady.
