*nervous laughter*

Just so we're on the same page, the one I'm using currently has these files in it:

A 7.78 GB file called 'adywan' and a .128 kB rar file that says "Video_TS_Files_fixed.rar"

(and something that tells me where I downloaded the torrent from)

Does that match up with what you're posting?

Oh well.

I'm downloading at  ~4.1 kBs/sec now at least. It says I'll be done in 3 days. But as the saying goes "a watched pot never boils."

Thanks all the same. If anyone else can help, could you PM me? I don't mean to clutter the forum with my torrent troubles. =)

The pirate Bay is going nowhere soon. This will be on appeal for YEARS to come.

I was under the impression 4 funders have finally been jailed and fined by EMI for 2 million. I did see their IOU to EMI webcast. Although they are contesting with their usual argument. Still, its all a bit worrying.

No they have not been jailed. In Sweden you don't serve your jail sentence until your appeals are done. Like I said it will take YEARS to find out if anybody will be going to jail or not.

And the Trader's Den domain name is being held ransom for $2,500, I've heard. :p

Anyway, the topic of the electified needle on the torture droid in ANH:R came up again in the ESB:R thread, and I was wondering if you might shed some light on the rationale for that, Adywan. I know I've given it some thought myself, but that doesn't count. if you've explained it before, sorry to bring it up again.

I think it was that needles aren't that threatening to most people, so he wanted to up the danger factor.  I am neither for nor against the electric needle.  It certainly doesn't make me cringe like it does some people.

Well, it does make me cringe, but only because I'm... uncomfortable around needles.  So that doesn't count.

Well, since I was the one that brought it up in the ESB:R thread, it's probably fairly clear that I don't like it.

It just seemed unnecessary to me, and on top of that it looks like a freaking miniature lightsaber (it instantly reminded me of something I saw where someone used a tiny lightsaber to peel potatoes).  And it just kind of appears as the camera zooms in on it.

It would have been better, IMO, to erase the syringe markings (which Ady did), and add something that looks almost acidic inside the syringe (like in T2, the drano or whatever it was into Silberman's neck, but more "alien" looking).

I do want to make it clear, though, that the torture droid "lightsaber" is one of only two things I dislike about ANH:R (the other being the fake slo-mo when Ben dies) - everything else about it is pretty damn perfect.  I'm indifferent about the Ben's hut scene and the added music, and the SE-added "searching around the escape pod" shots bug me but not too terribly badly.  Other than that, it's all perfect.

Since Enigmas has different files than me, I deleted that torrent. It was rushed anyway, so no big loss.

Hi all. Been reading this thread and the EP IV thread for a while now. As someone who uses After Effects on a daily basis I can really appreciate all the hard work that went into this project.  I'm loving the DVD5 version of ANHR but can't seem to get my hands on a good DVD9. Can anyone point me in the right direction via PM? Thanks!
