As far as the reflections in the cockpit go, while I think it looks interesting, I don't think it fits in with the spirit of the original trilogy. It would certainly be too busy, and besides that, I'd imagine that if the technology exists to create lightsabers, death stars and faster-than-light starships, I'm pretty sure they would have invented anti-glare cockpit windows to make it easier for pilots to see. Heck, we have that now.
