Rendering a Video File with Sony Vegas

For my fan-edit I went with all the standard DVD attributes and now I was wondering how I should render the project to maintain 100% quality. Filetype, bitrate, sample rate, audio coding etc. All of this would be appreciated!

The original audio was not attached to the avi I made ;) Anyways I think I might have figured it out. When it finishes rendering, I'll post a message on here describing how to do it for future references.

to be honest i would't recommend using Vegas to render an mpeg for dvd. Vegas uses the main concept mpeg encoder and it isn't all that good. it seems to soften the image and its bitrate handling isn't all that great. Your best bet is to render out your finished project to a lossless avi (lagaryth codec works best with vegas) then use Procoder 3 to render the mpeg for the DVD. you can import presets into procoder and i could always give you my settings that i used for ANH:R if you needed them.

Can I import a WMV with 5.1 into Sony DVD Architect? If so, I'll just keep it how it is. Also, how would I put commentary on the DVD?

Also, could you give me the complete details of what settings to use for a loseless AVI like you did originally for ANH:R?

When I rendered it I can see the deleted scenes from AOTC, the scenes that IF and TJ did, the credits, my opening logo, and ANH  but AOTC keeps showing as black!!!

I think it's because AOTC's framerate is 25 but everything else is correct. How Do I fix this?

Even if the master DVD video you are trying to render from is 24FPS, you should still see something. Perhaps you dropped the opacity level accidentally, or you clicked off the line with that video segment. Run the cursor over it in the timeline and see if it shows up in the video preview.

You might also have forgotten to include it in the range of video that you wanted to render. Is the audio dropped as well? If there's a long stretch of nothing where the video should be and the audio is gone as well, then these segments may have somehow been clicked off.
