I reckon it's just the 'shock of the new' JDK....

I know there's more going on during this new shot compared to the original which we've known for many years, but I reckon this new look is IMMENSE in the scheme of things now!

Once I'd given it a few plays to study all of Adywan's new tweaks, I watched it a couple of times afterwards imagining they'd always been there, and my focus definately remained on the little figure of Luke rappelling upwards, just as it had in the original shot.

It just takes a little time to get used to it, if you've been used to the original. This shot is gonna be amazing on a big screen eventually!

I guess you are right ImperialFighter, it must be the "WOW-factor" working, it's proof that the clip is amazing, it's like watching ESB "again for the very first time" hehe. Regarding the shots towards the AT-AT, I think it would add to the story, sort of like "last-stand" shots against impending doom.
