Off-topic:

Is anyone planning on undertaking a similar project for the "Star Wars" scores?  There are many, many problems with each release of the soundtracks.  All I want is a decent-sounding complete score for each film (the OT anyway), but that seems to be far too much to ask of Lucasfilm.

Back on-topic, I'm still very much looking forward to this release.  I even got rid of my old "Blade Runner" soundtrack in anticipation of having a decent representation of the film's music for once, but now I don't have a BR soundtrack to listen to!  I can't wait to listen to what you've done with the music, focuspuller!

Hello focuspuller,

 

This may be a long shot, but in doing research for my site, I stumbled upon the track listing for a very rare BR bootleg called Cliffhanger and Radio Plays, and apparently one of the tracks ("Stalking Pris") just might contain the music cue in its clean entirety for when Deckard walks up the stairs to J.F. Sebastian's apartment.

 

Just wanted to give you a heads-up, in case you missed it.

 

Hmm, as a matter of fact, I would be interested in getting this bootleg too...  ;-)

As many have learned the hard way, looking for hope in some "rare, hard to find bootleg" is a lost cause. It's what bootleggers prey on, with discs selling as much as $500 if not more. In terms of content, "Cliffhanger and Radio Plays" falls under that group and contains nothing new. That being being said, there is good news. While I have not added to the list yet, the track that you are referring to will be included in this collection. At this time there are one or two more tracks that will be added that are yet to be listed.

Really? That's GREAT news, focuspuller, I'm looking forward to hearing that cue!

(And thanks for confirming the hoax that was "Cliffhanger and Radio Plays"; once again, I'm impressed with how many sources you have at your disposal).

Just playing a random guessing game here, but will one of the two cues yet to be listed contain the "cat howl" music?

Well , if  I can remember we can hear this  "cat owl"  first  when Pris goes to Sebastian's  flat and  in  Deckard and Roy's duel  ( Wounded animals track) . Always at Bradbury buliding. 

But these tracks are already  listed , i think .

Saw the webpage on this Blade Runner (in progress) Collection!!  ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!! I ask to PLEASE include one for me, once completed!!  I do have quite the Blade Runner CD collection. There's no other score to a movie like there is for Blade Runner.  Here's a list of my collection...

Please say it ain't so! :-( I know I was anxiously awaiting it. It definitely has potential to be the ULTIMATE score!! It looks like there was a lot of time and effort put into it so far. Please consider "termination" of it.

Whew!! Gave me a good scare. By the way...FANTASTIC BLADE RUNNER MUSIC COLLECTION!!!! Just curious, are they all originals or CD-r's, and what are your numbers of the limited and numbered CD's?

I've been better be honest.

As I've said before I'm expecting a new member of the family to arrive in June (if all goes as it should). But things haven't gone as smoothly as they could have. On top of which I may be facing a legal action and financial crunch. And then there is work.

So over the last two months or so I have barely had any time to work on this project. Does that mean I am stopping: not at all. I would love to have an endless amount of time to work on projects like this without a care in the world. But that is not the world I am living in. In short, I have a lot to deal with right now and frankly a number of those things come before this project. I would assume that this is an easy thing to understand.

Cassius76, ImperialFighter, and everyone else that has been here since the beginning, thank you, for your help and support.

As for a few other posts i have just read and private notes. Y'all need to calm down and chill the *BEEP* out!! And I'm going to say this only once, this project WILL be released, and it will be released when it is finished. If after that time you like it, love it, hate it, want to throw food at me, go for it, but not until I am finished.

It's coming, just be patient. No comment on progress doesn't mean no progress.

I hope to have an update soon.

Don't worry about us , Focuspuller . We all know you're doing a great work and we'll have all the world patience  .I'm Vicente , the guy behind "The sound of Blade Runner" and I can imagine you're putting in a lot of effort  and it seems you're doing a superb work .

All we can do is  to be grateful for your effort and congratulate you for this and for your paternity .

...and hello Vicente.  Your "Sound of Blade Runner" is a great work of musical art.  Wonderful tracks that take you into the movie!!  I love the blending on track 4 with the Sushi Bar sounds and "If I Didn't Care". Excellent piece!!

You're obviously going through a lot but you've definitely got your priorities in order, the project will be done when it's done.  As it should be.  Hopefully after things have improved your returning to work on this music collection will be a good way of getting back into a more "normal" routine.
