I think something more simple like blood coming out of her ears and nose then just collapsing or something would convey that better than a fireball. Maybe accompanied by a wooshing cacophony of overlapping sounds like it's all being crammed in her head.

I agree. And I think I suggested earlier about having Spalko in the middle (if possible, I havent' watched the movie that many times) of the 13 crystal skeletons. She is at the focal point of the mindpower that Jones and Ox were subjected to, but it is thirteen times the amount. Head 'splodes. things start spinning and everyone gets the heck out of there. I don't know if it would work with the way the film is now, but that's how I'd do it if I had the footage.
