I'd buy a mega-set like the Blade Runner, even if they release a bare-bones full anamorphic 1080i or 1080p or whatever) bluray first.

The problem Lucasfilm has is that they don't have any faith in their movies.  The classic trilogy will always keep a core fan-base and will always continue to gain new fans.  LFL should trust in the movies and the fanbase, stop dorking around with endless changes to get it 'right' and just release the damn movies the way they deserve.  They should follow Disney's example.  Release a perfect, restored box set and put it back in the vault for a dozen years.  That will allow enough time for a new generation of fans to get into the movies and buy the set when it is released again.

LFL needs to realize that people like Star Wars.  Give those people what they want.

It reminds me of Pizza Hut in a way.  They keep messing with pizza, adding cheese inside the crust, suggesting people eat it backwards, etc.  It is pizza.  People like it so stop screwing with it.  If LFL keeps screwing with Star Wars, people aren't gonna like it anymore.
