I always thought that the way they were designed in JEDI made them look like they had droopy eyes (and not threatening). Even if you had a reflective/black window as opposed to the glowing red/blue ones would still look better.
You know Ady, maybe that is something you could do with the AT-ATs on Hoth. I know you took out the red windows, but what about reflective windows, like how some windows are on more modern buildings? They wouldn't have to be mirrored, but more like how tinted windows look when sunlight reflects on them.
EDIT - link now worksi really don't like the designs they have done for the AT-ST's in that video. i really like the idea that the AT-AT's & AT-ST's don't have any sort of glass in them at all. It makes them more like real life tanks which just have open viewing slats so no reflective look to them i'm afraid.
But tanks are sealed to protect them from germ warfare. How can the AT-ATs and AT-STs work in space or an atmosphere without breathable air if instead of a window they have an opening? Sure, you could say they have shields, but the AT-ATs are armored not shielded (that I know of).
So I guess this means you like the droopy eyes as opposed to the Cyclops (ie X-MEN) single eye look? >:)

I wanted to say that after I watch the Ion cannon clip again, i noticed that the lasers coming from the stardestroyer is a bit washed up compare with the TIE fighters one. I think they need a gentle touch of Ady's magic to have a more clear cores.
Also, i know that ady consider to fix the to the last detail and the clip was a wip still im Vader's advocade.

And when the star destroyer approach hoth there is a mysterious mask/light in the ship that looks weird. A pic will not show the problem only motion can popup it.

no, the falcon & TIEs will be added later. it just needs to be pretty large to get the feeling of scale and long enough for the flight path for 4 shots. any smaller and it won't look too good. I'll be including all the filming and creating in the making of doc for the DVD

As you can see two of the things you mention have already been fixed since the clip was posted. I'm not too bothered about the stardestroyer lasers having a weaker core because it helps distinguish them from the TIE ones.
And i have just gone back and checked the shot with the repeating starfield and again that has gone.

Might wanna look again. I see them. NO offense intended. I hate sounding like a whining nitpicker. But truth told they aren't that noticable unless circled in a still, and This shot is only onscreen a very short time. If you don't wanna bother with them it's not a big a deal as I once thought.

yeh i had looked at that site and it comes to approx £200 with postage to the UK. I did find one that was going for a lot less that was in the Uk but i got outbid by £2 over my max bid right at the last second today, so i'm pretty gutted. I was so close to getting it too but i didn't have any extra cash to bid higher. i haven't seen any others in the Uk on the net that is any cheaper than getting one from abroad, but that's going to be a long way off because i need to save a lot more extra cash. i think what i'm going to have to do is just keep donations open until this edit is near completion, which is something i hoped that i wouldn't have to do again. And i though this was going to be the easy movie to do. lol

Nice spot on those X-wing engine glows vaderios. One of the things I love about these edits are the consistently improved engine glows on various vehicles, so thanks for sorting that Adywan. I've a few more bits and pieces coming up when I find the time.

Hey people could have easily said that about some of the stuff that was fixed for SW:R. A lot of most people never noticed anyway. I am not complaining about that either, since I am glad it was it done.
