People are becoming so frightened to death of the evil rich people in the corporate world, they're ready to hand it all over to a much more dangerous entity. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. I am perfectly happy with the evil rich doing as they please, just so long as I am allowed to do as I please. If I decide the gov. should regulate them, then I am saying the gov. should regulate me. It is as simple as that.

Besides, the rich evil people in the corporate world are in bed with the government.

Any time you hear your leader say, Only the government can save us now* and the people agree, you know you're in for one hell of a painful ass raping.

*exact quote, "At this particular moment, only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe" which is pure BS. Government is exactly what got us here, and by the looks of things, government is what is going to keep us here. Soooo, lube up, bend over, and try to relax.
