Going by what he did with the Cantina aliens and what he is currently doing the ESB Yoda Adywan seems to be one guy for the job of making the Ewoks into realistic creatures.

JasonN and others have reduced the silly nature of the PT Yoda greatly too.

Editors have made even Jar-Jar interesting or at least easy to bear using a variety of approaches (Slumberland's Episode One was an eye opener as was Magnoliafan's in that score).

There are a lot of very talented people out there and more and more seem to join on as time goes by and as the technology becomes affordable and they get the bug.

The editors and fan film makers working here (on other sites and in isolation too) are doing the sort of thing a major studio would have gawped at only a few years ago.

Imagination and application can work miracles.
