Ideas like yours have been discussed before (scroll back to page 20) here was my take:
I just put together an edit of what you might have in mind. The video spans the first hour of the movie (but I cut alot out of the footage just for the sake of time, etc). You might even get a few chuckles out of it. Ayway, just have fun watching ROTJ like you've never seen it before.
Please note: This is probably one of the weirdest looking edits ever made, but I think it sort of gets the point across, so please put aside any "it looks rushed" thoughts :P
