Looks pretty cool. The new music really tweaks the vibe.
Oh alright, I see what you mean. I'll see what happened. I think when I rendered it, the WMV was 29.97. In the actual project window though it doesn't do that.

Good :)
Because it's an annoying mistake to make.

satanika said:It looks very promising. A very nice atmosphere you've created.
A few niggles:
When your A-man logo zooms on screen it doesn't line completely up with the static version and there's a jump when that appears.
No offense meant, but I really didn't like that 'ave maria' bit. Felt a bit pretentious to me, and I don't like the religious connotations. But maybe it's just me lol :) As I said, no offense meant.
Could just be the clip, but in mplayer it plays slightly out of sync.
Again, possibly just the clip, but it seems your video is not (properly) ivtc'ed, or there is some other interlace issue? Most noticeable right after the interior shot when the building passes on the left and the pan at the landing pad. It looks jerky.
man I couldn't agree with you more, this editing by some people is getting way overboard, totally losing the SW environment, that did not look and feel like Star Wars at all,but I guess to each there own, this just is not for me.
who has the Ady version like A-man stated? would like to see that version.
i like the new approach styles. thanks for the hard work. i just wanna see the mashups of the flashbacks and blends like info did. those trailers are freakin awesome.
Ady's ESB:R is still in production. You can stay abreast of the progress by following the project's thread in this forum. :)

I hit a problem, the audio doesn't come out as 5.1 surround. I put in the tracks individually and set them to different speakers but I'm only getting 2.1. I think it might have to do something with grouping. How do I ungroup?

I fixed that. New problem, I was converting the ripped Deleted Scenes and I got this (AutoGK)
"A field order transition was detected. You may need to use the Fix D2V tool to repair the stream. Refer to the DGIndex Users Manual for details."
I'm gonna try updated it and see if that works.

That's cool. I missed the "reimagine" concept. I am a die hard fan of the original trilogy, but am totally curious to see what you come up with. I've always wondered how it would look with the comedic fat trimmed and the serious factor notched up. Bravo for the imagination.
A lot of credit goes to the Star Wars: Reborn team. By the way the update fixed it.

For some reason I can't get the AAC out of the IFO for the deleted scenes. This is what PGCDemux gives me in the log: [General]

I'm not getting an AAC file... Anyone know of any other programs that can demux it to an AAC?

Although it was a pain in the ass to fish through all the VIDEO_TS files from the cd again, I used DVD Decrypter and got the AC3 files and using BeSweet I got the 6 channels. Editing will resume tomorrow night.

Nice to hear you got it solved. I see the technical stuff and think 'well, I'm no help in that regard.' :p You seem pretty good at figuring these things out. Must be a great learning experience as you go, too.
I'm learning a lot. This is my first time working on something this big of scale. I hope it's not a big failure haha. I'm about and hour and sixteen minutes in right now. I think it's a third done.

How are you handling removing/adding new music? What's your process?
Pretty much playing with the Front and back channels gets rid of the music and then you need to work with the center speaker. I generally leave the bass cause it gives good background contrasting. I'm now at the two hour marker.

So, did you hear the old music bleeding through in your intro clip?
I checked. I found it bleeding through in another part of the clip, but the part someone else pointed out was apart of the ridick music.

Just so you guys know I should be done by the end of the month but I won't be releasing it then. I'll start making trailers and releasing clips and new images while I work on the DVD Menu (which is something I've never done before) and it will be shipped to those that own the films just before Chrsitmas '09. From there whoever wants can put it as a torrent because I won't be.

well i sure want a copy of your work!
can't wait for trailers.....
You need a sort of beta tester to give them a once over, A-M? ;) Since we live in the same province, you know I'd get them fast! Heh.
Wow...end of the month? That's fast.
I'm aiming for that. I think by next week I should be done, then I'll take another week to double check every scene. I found a slight mistake in the audio of the cantina scene that I'll be going over then. I'm peacing together the scenes, then adding music, then I'll make the final adjustments, followed by the credits. I plan on re-writing the credits that fade in and out but re-using the credit roles that scroll up the screen. Could someone type up the fading credits from ANH: R and AOTC?
Ripplin, what if I send you a raw copy and then you torrent it for people? And then at the end of the year we can release them as DVDs.

I'll PM you about it. :)
i would love to see a 700mb avi version as a trial run, incase there is anything that would be worth changing? but i will be certainly downloading a DVD edition if/when it becomes available.
