After Kirk beams aboard the station to meet Scotty, I seem to recall a moment where he starts out still and than starts moving like he was in a troop march. The Director's Edition trims it where we see him walking from the start.

Again, this may be hard to catch since it's trimming wasn't shown in the trim's video on the DVD, but that's what my memory is trying to convince me of remembering.
