Yea that's what I thought. So how many of your TFU tracks are bad quality? There seems to be a fair amount of 'Ambush On The Landing Platform' hidden amongst various tracks but due to the crackling I haven't even started trying to peice it together. Is your the same as this?

Wow, sorry to hear that...but not entirely surprised. That fan did very little to stop the overheating, apparently. Crazy that it went like that.

Well... things are stable at the moment... I hope to get back to this. I start working again monday but that was never much of a deterrent... I just fear this computer at the moment :-p

Look...I'm not gonna play this game that your playing.

I've worked too long and too hard on making these sets. I made my Phantom Menace set some...5-6 years ago... and it was the most radical thing to have EVER come from the fandom in that respect. A complete reconstruction of the score including unused music and alternate takes. No where in the history of Star Wars had a fan done that...

Then I find my sets for sale on Ebay... and people contacting me trying to get me to buy it from them...Even still I have people contacting me saying "I found this set! You should get it!" and then I have to argue that it's MY set... that I made it... And I know this because of the track titles, the way it's set up... even with some omissions made, it's still the set I made.

And then you have people who come along and used my research, which mind you is exactly what it was... and then pilaged it and made a name for theirselves in the community.

I'm sorry if it's shitty of me to get angry over that but I do. When you have to dig through 36 Gig of badly compressed MP3 files, sfx, video game dialogue, and all the rest... and FIND everything possible... and not make a cent off of it... but put it out there for everyone becuase it is EVERYONES music...

Yea, I think I have a right to get pissed when people sell my sets... try to sell ME my sets... or use my research to get a big name in the star wars fandom.

I don't mind when people use the sets to do what they want... change music in their games, or make their own "film" edits or what have you. It was meant to be a resource...

But when it becomes "I'm gonna take your set, duplicate it almost exactly, and make a name for myself!" Yea... that pisses me off.

I'm interested in your sets and frankly would love to have them but I havn't had the time. With "melty" as we've not called it, I havn't been able to contact you about downloading them.

I just think it's kinda shitty to pop into someone elses thread and talk and advertise your own work like that...

I hold no hard feelings and frankly would love to hear what you've done...

That would suck to have that happen. Someone selling me something I made. wow. At least its a major compliment on how good your set is.

Imagine my surprise...and THEIR surprise when I say "I made that. The artwork is made by so and so, and the tracks are edited this way...I made that!" lol

oh well... It's my own fault in a way. I stepped out of the fandom a couple times after I made the sets and stopped patroling Ebay...

When I say (for my sets) that it's everyone's set it is because I didn' t add something in it, as you did, and I know I won't follow how it evolutes through the internet. I choosed to share, instead of being the quasi only one to have it.

A little update. It took me until TODAY to fix "Duel of the Fates (Unused)" Its still not PERFECT... but damn it's better than what I had lol

Things will move along a lot faster. That one track was taking a lot of time.

Yea I hate tracks like that... there's always one that takes FOREVER to complete, makes you feel like you're stuck in a rutt and not going anywhere.

And we all do thank you for continuing to do what you're doing even though you've had to put up with a lot.

And ABC your sets are actually pretty good!

Between GM's general mastery of editing, source hunting, managing to produce the most expansive sets out there, finding amazing bonus material, and being really quite a perfectionist, and ABC's talents in remastering and cleaning up tracks to a really high standard, you've both kind of got the star wars fandom covered! =)

Actually, "clean" is not the word I'd have choosen. "Clear" would be closer to the truth I think.
