There were different ways the stories could have went for all of the films, even ESB. All of them had mutiple ideas.

^That's not what he's talking about. He means a timeline was made to show where the novels go in relation to the movies. Like, "Heir to the Empire" is after ROTJ, and the Exar Kun stuff is before ANH, etc...

There's one timeline. A lot of prequel books have been written since that article, so it's pretty evenly balanced out on either side now.

Edit: And here is a much more detailed timeline, featuring every EU item for each time period. This one overwhelms even myself, and I've read most of the novels.

Nice public PM.

I like the idea to put R2 somewhere in the distance and grab 3PO. Nice sharp eyes there.

Also, about the enhance cockpit panels, that is a good idea, Ady didn't add nothing to ANH:R so i don't think he will add something now. Pity.

I saw it quite some time ago, and maybe it would be possible to add R2 in the distance grabbing 3PO, as you say. Or maybe the shot is too short to be worth modified and the idea too complex to achieve, but Ady's the boss here :P

Wow, this forum went way off topic for awhile.

Ady, with all the stuff you have planned you will need to do some sub-contracting. That is too much for a one man job! I need to learn some video editing programs and help you out! Or perhaps we could get some people making costumes, building sets etc...

As for ESB:R. I don't think a new display needs to be added to the falcon cockpit. It is fine the way it is.

We as a froum need to keep watching 2004 ESB and digging for stuff to talk about! That way we won't get off topic!

Ok here one for you.

the moment after Luke talks with the medical droid and the scene changes to luke going to talk with chewie, note the two pilots that running in the background. The one with the mustache while is running slipped and he almost fell.

Also as the camera pans up to show Han notice that the metal part that his feet are on, is moving. Damn Cheap Aluminum falcon :P

I tried doing a mockup like this, but had the same exact problem. Neither the Falcon's dashboard or the monitor in TPM is shown in a good close-up. And I wanted to show my idea in action, so the mockup just didn't work. That was when I got lazy and threw in that AOTC footage instead. Oh well, at least it got the idea cross in a visual sense.

That mockup image is a lot like I originally imagined! Just need a high-res image for it, and to have the monitor from a different angle (more from the captain seat) and it be exactly how I pictured it in my head!

There are pics of the cockpit panels in the 365 days SW book. But they would require a really good scanner to turn out good. The pictures are not very big. And need colorized but they are better than anything i've seen.

Seems no one noticed a post i made some megacycles ago.

I remember that someone suggest when the falcon boosts out of the base to have some things to fly away.

Ady stated that it could impossible without 3d elements.

So i suggested this.

The elements from Transformers match with the perspective and add to the scene.

Also noticed that the frame will be more cool if it has some foreground elements near the camera (see right pic). It adds to the framing

that looks cool and all. the problem is that it wouldn't look like a snow cave anymore since that's wat the base is mostly.

I didnt meant to use the base as background.

just the elements that going towards to camera to enhance the scene.

Plus some lasers from stormtroopers trying to hit the MF will be cool.

I tried looking for some pics online, but didn't have much luck. There isn't anything high-res enough.

I feel the clip I made gets the idea across, but yeah, I'd like to see how it would look with the actual Falcon dashboard monitor, with the Imperial fleet in the background outside the cockpit and everything.

There are some mistakes such as Han's presumably leather jacket which were corrected for the DVD, and I don't think there's anything that could be one about Leia's arms (all too difficult to correct isn't it?) and Leia's penthouse problem has been discussed some pages ago :P

But it's always good to bring some ideas like that when people run out of some :D
