Ok, I have no plot, I have no Characters (Except Luke and Han Solo). I need some plot ideas. Real ones. Everyone (OT.com) can reply.
thats a bit vague johnny, however let me throw this into the mix-
han and luke for whatever reason, find themselves on a planet that has a forgotten garrison of battle droids who think they are still fighting the clone wars
I really never thought of doing battle droid agian. But thats a good start.
So these battle droids take Han and Luke in for questioning, seeing Luke's lightsaber, they realize he is a Jedi and therefore a soldier for the Republic. There are far too many droids for Luke and Han to take on alone, so they decide to play it safe and wait for an opportunity to escape, return to their ship and report the situation to the New Republic.
As it turns out, the situation is worse than they thought. This remote planet is not only home to a remote garrison of battle droids, but was in fact the site of one of the Seperatists droid factories. These droids are following their last orders they received just before the Clone Wars ended: "Defend the factory as it continues production of more droids, and wait for further orders." The planet contains the natural resources needed for droid production, and beyond the droid factory (or perhaps multiple droid factories) it has mines and all other facilities needed to continue producing droids indefinitely, and has been running non-stop for the last 30 some years. The planet contains millions upon millions of dormant droids (and the carriers to take them off planet) just waiting to be switched on so they can continue to fight the war they have been programed for.
What is more, this droid production facility was placed on this remote, uncharted planet to produce special droids programmed specifically for an assault on Coruscant. If they make their move, then it would take all the forces of the New Republic to stop them, and likely that wouldn't even be enough. Either way, we are looking at a massive death toll. Han and Luke are going to have to find away to shut down production, and keep the dormant droids from becoming active. Maybe even activate some sort of self destruct sequence.
Perhaps among the planet full of droids, there is a lone human engineer running the whole thing. A member of the Separatists back during his day, he was left to oversee production and was waiting to hear from his superiors. When he never received any further orders or news, he realized that the Separatists must have been defeated, and has lived in isolation, just he and his droids all these years, now elderly and somewhat insane, waiting until he felt he has enough droids to exact his revenge and take down the Republic once and for all. The Separatists army would be victorious, even if there are no Separatists left to celebrate it.
There is a bit of plot for you (Almonkey had a cool idea actually), take or leave what you like.

Wow that sound simple and dangerous. I like it. What about the sith lords. How can they be involved. Maybe they are part of this to eliminate the jedi once and for all. Pretty intense. Or course I want some Storm Troopers (Found in the EU) that are like guards. I don't want them to be to involved. I don't want Ben involved to much either now that I think about it. (Ben is Luke's son) Now there needs to be a lightsaber duel. Theres got to be.
PS: Really makes a connection with the Prequel Trilogy and the original.
It is your story, so you can fit whatever characters in as you like. The Sith are everywhere though, Sith stories are a dime a dozen. You want to aim for something new and unique. You don't want sacrifice story just for the sake of jamming in a character you really want to be in your story (like the Stormtroopers) if they fit in somewhere, that is great, but if they don't, do not hesitate to leave them out.
Same for Luke's son, if he fits, put him in, if he doesn't forget him. This story can take place anytime you want as well. It could be a year after ROTJ if you wanted it to be, or 20 years after. Don't feel like you have to place it at the very end of current EU continuity. Mara Jade could still be a live for you story if you wanted her to be, same thing for Chewie, by just having it take place before their deaths.

Yep. I think I want it to be like 10 years after return of the jedi before he becomes a jedi master. The sith don't really have to be involved yet. The sith could appear until the time is right, since Emperor palpetine died as well as Darth Vader. It might be a little hard to explain all that.
Cause if you think about it, its always good to try something new. But I will see what fits and what doesn't. You made a good point there.
I want Chewie to be in it again.
So do any of you two have any advantages of sith lords and disadvantages. Like how they can fit to the story and how they can't. I already said that the dark lords are dead (Palpatine and Vader [who turned good]). But this might be a good intro to the new sith order.

How about this. In part of the story. There is a young adult who was a jedi (Mid 20s,). But rebelled the same reason any jedi. So he fell to the dark side not knowing when. But Luke knew him and wants him to rebel from the plan. Of course they do a light-saber duel to settle it. But that droid/separatist revenge for over 30 years is a really good plot. I just wanted to add some stuff it make it a good length, and come up with new ideas.
Thats the a part of the back story. Which will be mentioned by luke.
You seem to be into EU stuff, so I am assuming you want it to fit into continuity to some degree. In that case, who trained this young twenty something year old Jedi who is turning bad? Why is he turning to the darkside, what is influencing him to do so?
From what I have read of the EU, the galaxy is sorely lacking of Sith/Dark Jedi after the death of Vader and Palps, until Luke's Jedi Academy trains enough new Jedi that some start to fall.

I'm not really into the EU. I kinda need a 411 on what is happening in the EU. I guess I can make a sacrifice on the sith. But I could just do one dark lord since there's no way there couldn't be just one dark jedi. He could have been under the separatists care until he turns old enough to take care of himself. And he could have be like in his 60s. Could have been trained the ways of the force until his masters death after a duel with star-killer. But I always wanted to make my own light-saber duel. He could be working for the separatist until the separatist realizes he's trying to take over him.
But if this can't work then It doesn't fit in. No big deal though. I'll think of something.
I kind of do look at the EU on Wookiepedia but it doesn't work for me.
Hey about the battle droids. What if there are battle droids at the beginning. Ok. But in the factory are some newly ranked battle droids, made after the extinction of the ultra battle droids. These droids are something that no one has ever seen before, being fully advanced and dangerous that have more skill. Luke couldn't even take them all down. I'm sure they could be destroyed though but need to be deactivated. And if luke does run into anyone who is involved with the droids, I want them to be like spies, not droids. One of the spies is one of a character's that helps them on the adventure. The female has to wait a while since I still don't know how he's going to fit. Still don't know if this can all fit in yet.
Even the dark lord.
Well I do have some ideas.
Since there is no real date of Lukes death and the fact the luke won't be killed off on any book (Of what I learned).
I'm thinking of just making the next story. I think Luke should be like in his 30s or 40s. And the plot should be about new ranks unused from the clone wars (A more dangerous droid species) And there will be a separatist seeking revenge after all these years of waiting (He was waiting for them to fully develop since they required thousands) he finally can take revenge of being stuck on the planet for years. I don't really want luke to not be a jedi master in training because I didn't want to go threw every detail of how luke became master. Luke and Han are still captured for answers for them spying in there forgotten planet, and thats the time its finally discovered. I wanted Luke to be not that old since indy already got that chance. I want them to be younger. But I'm still thinking about the other characters. Ben might not be mentioned often. This is not the final cut so I'm not putting my hopes up.
