a lot of the problems with the PT looking like a video game is the colouring, which i will be sorting out

Thats True. Plus how everything look fake and in some cases bad composited in AOTC compare with the ROTS

hey vaderious any chance of replacing the background of that scene in AOTC with the one in ROTS

Part of the problem with that shot (besides Mekon Yoda) is that TPM pink tint again having a little holiday in AOTC. If the carpet got the ROTS treament (as in rolled up though it's obviously meant to be a different level) it might look alright (I just can't stand the Yodamobile, "For my ally is the Force and a powerful ally it is...but can't be bovverd to use it can I, when floaty chair machine I have.").

Recolour attempt

I think the world is big enough for different edits with different ideas about lightsabre colour schemes.

Adopting a particular rationale behind what (if anything) the colours mean could become an editor's imprimatur so you instantly know which one you are watching (there's Magnoliafan's orangey Dooku blade, there's Jason's grandmaster purple).

I always saw Mace as a kind of Council Enforcer (making sure the Jedi aren't breaking their own rules) which is why he can't believe Dooku would assassinate Padme because he'd have to have passed extra character tests to be raised to that level. It also explains why he gives Anakin such a hard time all of the time.

Yoda seems more like a Council Chaplain teaching children, offering pastoral care for the spiritual and emotional needs of the Jedi and keeping the basic philosophy of the Jedi alive.

All Jedi Masters are Jedi Masters though (they can all do certain things to a certain level) though it would make some sense if they held specialised positions based on their particular strengths.

Maybe the Empire would never have risen if they had made Anakin the sulky child murdering master.
