Perfect timing with the Blu of the theatrical cut coming out in a month or so.

My outlook on life - we’re all on the Hindenburg anyway…no point fighting over the window seat.

Luck would have it that Registrations are open today over at that spookie torrent place.

Can somebody give me a small tutorial how to download from torrent sites blocked by your ISP ? In theory tunnelling could be the solution but I don't know how to do it

Goddamn this dorm Internet ... it was blazing fast before spring break, now it keeps timing out ... guess they've figured me out, eh?

Really looking forward to it once it's done, though!

I'm off to see Iron Maiden live tonight, so I will not be able to check my PMs till late tonight.

I hope everyone enjoys the preservation.

Could someone PM me and tell me how to find this? I have been awaiting it for awhile and it really sounds like the greatest fanedit so far!

@ FF,

Thanks alot for the heads up,but I want to know, you won't mind if I make this anamorphic when I get it do you?

I hate 4:3 LB on my setup,I wouldn't if I was still using my 35" picture tube TV though.

Thanks again

mmm is there a reason this isn't anamorphic, FF?

Get DVD Rebuilder Pro - it's what I used to convert my GOUT set, and it works beautifully.  Just one box to check and that's it.

what about PAL non-anamorphic to NTSC Anamorphic (not that it applys in this case)?

DVD Rebuilder has no PAL to NTSC settings (and it really really should).  In fact AFAIK there is no single program that can do such a full conversion (though movie-only options abound).  If you are interested in rolling up your sleeves, take a look at my hefty Full PAL2NTSC guide over in the How-To/Technical section of this forum.

That's a bit off topic.

On topic is a question that I'm sure has been asked and answered but I'm just drawing a blank on... are the effects in this cut theatrical or the Director's Cut redone effects?

I personally had no problem with the new ones and wish they went that far when they remastered TOS. Though with HDTV used as a source in this, I'm guessing there are no updated effects.

The point of this preservation project was to recreate the Special Longer Version in widescreen format. So thankfully the effects are the original ones.
