look at the size of that thing!
This image below shows a comparison in size between the storage of 1 Gigabyte , 20 years ago (1988) & 1 Gigabyte now.
"640K ought to be enough for anybody."
- Bill Gates, 1981
This pic must be old though cuz that one GB card is huge compared to the 4GB card I have for my mobile/cell phone.
Man, look at that thing! Looks like some sort of sci-fi prop!
War does not make one great.
Over 25 years ago, a 5 megabyte hard drive for the Tandy TRS-80 cost several thousand dollars, and came in a box the size of today's mid-tower PCs (due to the size of the circuit board, which was notoriously flaky).
Today, I can go down the street to my local Micro Center store and pick up a 16 gigabyte USB flash drive for less than $30.
I feel very, very old.
That's the type of disc that, if dropped, it was as good as gone. That 1 GB flash card in the pic can easily be dropped, kicked, and probably stepped on and still work.
Apparently the Wii can now support SD cards up to 32 GB. Technology is crazy.
But the wii does not do high def games or video what the hell do you need 32 GB for, lol. What to store all your bootleg nintendo games on one SD card.
“Always loved Vader’s wordless self sacrifice. Another shitty, clueless, revision like Greedo and young Anakin’s ghost. What a fucking shame.” -Simon Pegg.
