Perusing Wookiepedia, I kept coming across this dude's name.

Apparently Abel Pena writes for the Star Wars website, and the RP games.

What's weird, is that it seems what he scribbles in the margins of Rule Books or in blogs on the Star Wars website apparently is offical Lucasfilm canon. Real authors are bound by it (I guess that's why the villain in 'Shadows of Mindor' is so confusing, he had to fit the convoluted backstory Pena had already established for the character).

The next Darth Bane book has to mesh with the list of fictional Sith Lords this guy made up for an RPG supplement or something.

I'm not trying to throw hate at this guy. He writes quite eloquently about Star Wars in some of his blogs.
It just seems very backwards to me that the creative people tasked with actually writing the sagas have to bend-knee to the ideas of a guy who comes up with the dramatic sentences that appear on Star Wars trading cards.
