This is a screenshot from my EP3 fanedit (Star Wars: The Black Knight Rises), where I've removed the WIP Death Star from the end scenes of Vader/Emperor and replaced it with the planet Coruscant:
Nice! I particularly like that last one. Makes him look much more fiersome and intimidating. Amazing what a quick colour & texture job will do for a character! :)

That makes a lot of sense! I don't see how they could construct one that's 3 times the size in much less time; makes no sense that they started it way back when, right?

Sorry been sittin bk too long now and gotta comment on the death star 2 contruction etc. Death star 2 was only a bigger version of DS1. In contruction it takes longer time to create something the first time round due to resources and design problems etc etc etc. makes sense that DS1 took longer than DS2.

First DS = 17-18 years
Second DS = 2-3 years
I must politely ask: "How the hell does that make sense AT ALL?"
Construction
LMAO!!!!!
Unlike the Empire's first Death Star, which, as a result of supply and design problems, took nineteen years to be considered an operational battlestation, this much larger Death Star took far less time, approximately two to four years, to construct. Methods of faster construction had been developed in the years since the original station's conception, added to the fact that Imperial engineers made sure to allocate enough space on the station for the maximum possible amount of self-replicating construction droids.[5]
The second Death Star's building location remained secret from the Alliance, unlike the first station's construction site at Despayre. After the initial stages of construction, the station was put under the command of Darth Vader during its relocation to a new construction site in the Endor system. Endor was selected due to the massive concentration of strategic metals on the planets Dor, Eloggi, and Megiddo in the system,[6] but the actual construction site was in geosynchronous orbit around the forested Sanctuary Moon, protected by a powerful shield generator on the moon's surface.[2][1]

That's just EU reasoning to explain something that shouldn't have needed explaining, because IT DOESN'T make sense for the first to take 20 years and the second to take 3. Yeah, the second would go by much more quickly than the first, but not THAT much more. At most, I'd say 8 years for the first and 3 for the second makes sense, and that's stretching it. IMO 5 for DS1 and 3 for DS2 makes the most sense.
EDIT: ChainsawAsh pretty much hit the nail on the head.

i can understand wot ur sayin yea but i mean look at the UK takes like 20 years to do anything decent, like the olympic 2012 in london, u really think thats gonna be on time. its already havin problems with fundin etc even at the expense of the tax payer, long delays are possible.
if that scene was to be a closing shot for the PT then maybe enstead of coruscant of the DS, just have the imperial fleet roaming the galaxy, then maybe an exterior shot of the emperor and vader looking out of the window, then just zoom out into stars as if a reverse of the opening of a STAR WARS film. would mirror the ending of ESB perhaps? (except vader doesnt put his arm around palp)

No, the end of the edit still has Obi-Wan taking Luke to Tatooine - that screenshot is from the last scenes of Vader in the film.
sorry
Special thanks to vaderios for originally pointing the continuity error and for providing me some photo reference to use for the compositing - this is my Vader's "neck fix" for my EP3 fanedit:
You think you can send me that scene correction so I can use it for my edit? Credits to you and the person who made it for you.

anyone heard of this guy he did something no other fan edit has done, get rid of jar jar literally http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMsew3DMz44
Lots of editors trim him to tolerance or change him into something completely different but it's always nice to see an editors new take on that Jar Jar thing.

That guy was once a member of this site (his username was Anti-Matter), but I believe he had a falling out or something with other members of the site, so he deleted his posts in his project thread, insulted several people (including Adywan), and ran of to start his own website dedicated to his Prologue project (which has yet to be completed).
Also, he accused me once of plagiarizing the "Anakin beats up Geedo & Meets Qui-Gon" edit that I used in my Attack of the Federation fanedit from his yet-to-materialize project (which was complete BS, because I got the idea for it years ago from the Phantom Editor's commentary track on his PE DVD).
How can a fan-edit plagiarise another anyway?
Surely any fan-edit is an edit of someone else's work (in this case George Lucas).
Unless the chap is George he can't accuse anyone of plagiarism (and let's face it George pinched from everyone, Frank Herbert's family should take this fella to court).

Ahhh Anti-matter... NOW theres a guy who takes himself waaaaayyy to seriously lol I mean how many editors make an entire website to promote a fanedit.... lol oh well, you work is far superior imo JasonN and yeha how is it possible to plagarize a fan-edit???? lol Oh I got an idea, I want to color correct Return Of the Jedi.. Ady better not plagarize me lol too funny too funny....

Wow nice affect, i went with this kind of colour and not changed it personally because of Grievous old body. i know its EU but i loved the whole design of the old him, captures his personality and character all in one.
Funny enough in ROTS:
-I concur. master kenobi should go.
-I agree.
-I.
-I.
-Very Well.
I think somehow the scene needs more votes to hear or the jedi are damn facists :)
