In the prequels and CW Series we see R2 use his rockets which we didnt at all in the originals. Could R2 use his rockets to get into the X-Wing when Luke is on Dagobah when Luke leaves to help Leia and Han? As we saw on ANH, it seemed liked a big production to get the droids in the ship. But then in ESB there isnt anyway for him to get in.

I know this was breifly covered a few pages back but I though showing R2 boosting his way into the X-Wing and/or boosting his way out on Cloud City.

Using rockets right next to a vehicle in the middle of a swamp, might turn out to be explosive.

If R2's rockets were to make a OT appearence it makes more sense to me that he would use it to escape Jabba's barge (and an awful slapstick gag) in ROTJ.

I dont see why it would be explosive as Ive seen in the CW series R2 boost his way into Anakins fighter. The swamp wouldnt be combustible either as its mostly muddy water.
