So Vaderios introduced me to this fan film and judging by the trailer and the website Id say the production values are top notch…Its also in italian or some other language I do not understand. Im downloading the film and found a download for an .srt file of english subtitles but it has no seeders. Long story short (too late) does anyone have a .srt file of the english subtitles? Or maybe a dvd file of this that they can seed? Pretty please?

I've never seen a Star Wars fan film that I liked.

Most fan films I've seen are bascially excuses for people to put on bad-to-mediocre lightsaber fights bookended by lousy acting. To be fair, I've seen one or two good ones.

One had Darth Maul fighting and killing to other Darth Maul types on a beach, and the plot was virtually nonexistant, but the fighting was damn good.

Also, I liked "Star Wars: Revelations." It had AMAZING production values, decent acting, sweet and original music, and a plot that wasn't half bad.

Then there are the parodies. Many are dumb, but some are tears-to-the-eyes funny. I recall "The Real World: Tatooinne" as particuarly funny.

Ryan Vs. Dorkman 2 was pretty good as well.

A long time ago I enjoyed a stormtroopers focused fan film  http://www.impstherelentless.com/tek9.asp

They only made one chapter out of 6 I think. It was quite good if I remember well. They never came with chapter 2. Maybe it's still in the work.

Only SW fanfilm I have ever seen was Troops. That was enough for me.

Here are some good ones:

-Essence of the Force

-Hardware Wars

-Pink Five / Pink Five Strikes Back / Return of Pink Five

Generally the less Jedis and less dramatic, the better.

C3PX, IMPS the relentless - is / was made by the guys who made troops [if i'm not mistaken]. Wasn't sure by your wording if like actually liked TROOPS or not.

I found IMPS worth watching just for the Narration by Peter Cullen - AKA Optimus Prime.

And not even a single link? I get it, "google it yourself, ya schmonk" ?

"Pink Five" was a good laugh. I had some secret hopes for "Tydirium" but I guess that project died?

Yeah, I also hate all that Jedi-mania that's behind 99% fan-films. Especially that making lightsaber effect is no problem with todays video editing software... and robes looks so cheap - guys in stormtrooper armor at least look more authentic ;)

I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

When someone produced a fansaber battle synced to the song "Up Jumped The Boogie", I threw up in my mouth a little.

THe movie you're referencing with the Darth Maul vs the two other aliens was "Contract of Evil". The follow-up is called "Crossroads of Destiny" found here:
