As I've said before, Luke was a cool Jedi to watch because he was so close to falling to the darkside (doing things that went AGAINST his teachings). IF your power comes from ALL LIVING THINGS then wouldn't killing deplete or harm your own power source?
I dont want to argue about this with you but i have to state that your logic in this is absolutely black and white and very one sided.
Lets pretend i'd believe my power comes from ALL LIVlING THINGS. Lets also pretend someone hates all living things and wants to destroy them. Should i kill him? Definetly! And bloody fast! The more i believe this the faster i would. And i wouldn't even feel remorse. In fact such radical fews can lead to the most brutal and "unhippy" like behaviour imaginable. Morals are always relative! Kill one to save 100, etc... (this of course only sratches the surface of ethics/morals...)
Loving all living things does not forbid some one to be angry or curse like an old sailor. Honestly, I like most of what you write, but you definetly should rethink this! You are being _absolutely_ one dimensional. Of course there can be more Dalai Lama like figures in the Yedi order (Yoda?) but I can very well imagine more 'practical' people, like i imagine Obi-Wan has been. Portraying the Jedi as perfect or saints feels just so wrong... Much about their beliefs that we know about (frome the movies) has been told to us by Yoda: The one considered the wisest. When he says something like "anger is bad" another Jedi might argue "Be careful with anger, but it can be a good tool to do the right thing when its necessary".
In the world are all kinds of religions and most of them forbid murder, but most of them also legitimize it in many cases or even have heroes who kill their enemies (just read the bible, the god of the old testament is a maniac killer, yet its a 'peaceful' religion and his son preaches 'love your enemy' in the NT).
I could go on about this forever, but as i said, i dont want to argue about this. So i will drop this matter after this posts. Discussions about spiritualism/morals/religion tend to get too emotional and i dont want to hurt anyones feelings here...
PS: Sorry if my posts seem kind of convoluted at the moment, but i've been studying alot in the last few weeks and my brain feels like its melting ;)
