Also, it gives us a subtle idea of how Veers knows at all that he has to wait. There would have to be some indication that it wasn't safe to enter and when it was.
Who needs security? Vader? :P more for officers hehe.
Also it make sense the officers wait outside. I mean is like "General Veers Lord Vader commands to talk with you" Veers is going and wait until the door opens from itself... is like when vader goes to Emperor throne room and he waits a bit and he talks only when palp talk first..
