I am very much interested in grabbing a few screen grabs of the movie Sweeney Todd The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,I do not have any way of getting this myself,I do not have a Bluray drive on my PC.

But I really would love to get a few full res(1920x1080) screen grabs of Sweeney holding his arm out stretched with the razor in his hand, the scene is in the begining when MS Lovitt takes him upstairs and gets his razors from under the floor board,he then sings the song about his friends(the razors)the scrren grabs I want are at the end of that song.

I really hope someone here has the capabilites to get some of these grabs for me.

Thanks

this is a similar mage but I need alot higher quality, this is all I can find online unfortunately.

Thanks Alot Ady,those are alot better than the crappy low res ones I have been finding.

but I still bet a Bluray screen grab would look pretty darn good.

OK now I just have to figure out how to cut Sweeney from this image and place onto a transparent background so I can put it on my own pic.
any ideas from you Photoshop experts?

But the hair on the back of his head blends into the dark background.

1 - I used the Selection tool a whole bunch of times to cut away the background bit by bit.

2a - That's all the body that was seen in the original pic.
2b - I used Paintshop Pro...not Photoshop (I'm a cheep bastard) :(

3. I'm sure with a bit of practise you'll be able to do this sort of thing, too. :)

In Photoshop, the polygonal lassoo (is that how you spell lassoo?) is your best friend for these situations.

Feather it a couple pixels on the hair area, and you're good to go.

1. I loaded up the image (I guess that's pretty obvious, lol)

2. Choose the "Freehand Selection Tool"

3. I zoomed in on the image (doesn't matter where) and carefully selected areas of blackness around Sweeny, tracing along his clothes, etc.. I do it in small sections, so if I fudge-up something, a can easily undo.

4. When I get to the hair, I just take my time, and use my 'artistic license' (my best guess) to make it look half-desent.

5. Then I looked on Google for the silliest/cutest picture I could find (on the first page), and copy-pasted it into the image ('Edit' - 'Paste As New Layer'), and moved it to under Sweeny's layer (a quick drag-n-drop).

It may sound kinda complimicated, but it's not.

DJ, I have the full-size, non-cake version as a PSD with a transparent background if you want it.  PM an address to me that can handle a large attachment.
