- I noticed a continuity error with Luke's hand and the lightsaber at 1:40:39 and in 1:40:41 and cutting back to 1:40:44 (using the 97' HD theatrical rip Adywan made as reference). He places his hands on his hips (on what might be called an 'establishing shot') at 1:40:41 and then when it cuts back he has his hand back on his lightsaber. the easiest way to explain it is right when he turns on his lightsaber to battle Vader at the end of the film. I doubt there's much we can do about that. just seems strange.
- also, when Vader jumps down after luke says "you'll find i'm full of surprises" the floor looks like it's about to break. cheap plastic flooring? any way to fix that?
- when Vader swipes his lightsaber at Luke (so that he falls into the carbonite chamber) it looks a lot like he's trying to miss. i wonder if this is intentional or not. i would imagine it was because i suppose Vader doesn't want him dead. but it just reminds me of a 50's horror movie where they're stumbling around trying to make it look as if they're going to hurt them but the actors don't actually want to harm each other (i.e. holding back).

Interesting that you mention the swipe Vader takes at Luke in that scene, mumbles. I have always wondered about that scene. Like you, I'm not sure if he doesn't want to kill Luke, so misses on purpose to get him to fall, or if it is just bad choreography. Anybody else have anything on this?

Been away from the forum for a little while. Took me an hour to catch up on 12 pages of posts.
Saw the new video.... freakin awesome!
My only suggestion is that the displays in the control room look so bland. But I think Adywan said he had something in mind to spruce them up like he did in ANH:R.
Also, I would like to say thanks for everyones comments on the luke/hoth escape. I was surprised at how spirited the debate came.
However, I still feel that if Han is such a great pilot. Then why wouldn't he look at his sensor scope and take one of those "paths" that Luke did.
The point of Vader focusing on the falcon is very valid. It is just too bad we couldn't add a line in for Vader saying. "I want that ship no matter what" or " all ships in blockade focus on that ship". (He does say "I want that ship not excuses" later on though) but it isn't clear at that point in the movie. We know that he wants Skywalker and could believe he is on the Falcon. However, if he can't sense that Luke is not on the Falcon, then why wouldn't he assume Luke could be in one of the many other ships leaving. Thus keeping the blockade intact? Maybe he senses Leia instead of Luke?
We as viewers are left to speculate on Vaders motivations on the blockade, or that Luke used the force, or Han was just unlucky to fly into the blockade (Which upon reflection, is what happens throughout the entire movie). So maybe I just answered my own question.

I've already mentioned Vader's swipe at Luke... To me it almost seemed like he is using the force push on Luke, and the light saber is just swiped in an symbolical manner, the same way as later when Vader throws stuff at Luke in the corridor scene. But it is all very short and unclear, so we can all think what we want to I guess...
I am constantly amazed by the level of effort and profesionalism of Adywan, great job on the new clip, can't wait for the new trailer!

I found more words now. The replacement of the pre-destroyed rebel trench is awesome! I can't believe how great it looks. Are those other troops running into position?

It's real good now, well done, but I did not remember the DVD shots being so dark sometimes (i.e. the Falcon in the asteroid field, or the Falcon on the landing platform)... We were enjoying a crappy image quality so blindly it seems :P

Is it me, and this is no slight on Ady's work as it is there in the 'original' 2004 adjustment, but in the pic with Lando running through the now open corridor, is Lando completely surrounded by a massive matte line? It's only a quick shot, but can anything be done or is this a layer that's going to be difficult to sort out?
Liking everything else - even the presence of 'forcefield' Lando isn't going to spoil my enjoyment!
