I wouldn't call that a fair comparison. In this case, the waiter changed the established recipe because the waiter didn't like it even though no one complained about it and it's never been changed throughout it's many restaurant chains. And as you pointed out, I can always order the original, but the way the waiter delivers it is just sooooooooooo good compared to the original. I just wish I could have that little something that makes it unique to all the other crappy stuff (Effect happens in two movies which are the original Star Wars and ESB. It doesn't happen in the 'lesser' liked Star Wars movies).

Again, I'm just a Star Wars fan who has an opinion and I say the effect, no matter how silly it might seem, works. Most audiences don't ask why because it's cool. Unfortunately this projects asks why to everything, and anything that looks different is a 'nono', even if it's used more than once.
