Yeah, I agree.
But I'm FAR from able to do a 2D to 3D convertion of an entire movie.
I think I can do nice 3D frames, but I don't think a "one 2D picture to depth map" converter ever exits. The program I talked about generate Depth map out of 2 different 2D pictures (of course...) but I think it don't do that from a single 2D picture. It is said that it "generate depth map from a pair of 2D pictures" and it that it "create depth map from a single 2D picture", but it appears that "create" does not mean "generate" from the point of view of the creators of the program...: it only makes a greyscale version of the picture, which is of course not a depth map, at all...
I'll continue my search.
