Episode 4 DUSTY version is done (I just need to watch it to avoid some little mistake maybe).
I'll launch the framing of episode 5 tonight.
Speaking of 3D Star Wars I continue my search for a methode to (maybe) make one of my episode in 3D.
I think I could do it if I find a program that can automaticaly transform a normal 2D picture to a Depth map picture like this one I've quickly made on photoshop:
perhaps this program can do it automaticaly. I did not try it for now (not free):http://www.3dmasterkit.com/index.php?id=59
and here is an animated gif of the result between the original and a distorded one (made on photoshop using the depth map):
Maybe I should have painted Vader a little more white so he would be more close to the viewer. But you should see very well the 3D effet on the dead bodies at the bottom of the picture.
Of course making the depth map by hand means I can only do "layer 3D". I wish a software can do better result. I know some folks worked on a program using pixel recognation of the focus and the shapes to make depth maps out of 2D pictures, but I did not found a free program that do that sort of thing for now.
I also opened a thread at http://www.faneditforum.com/viewforum.php?f=20 to discuss this matter.
