Today the 2 Disc Special Edition from Italy arrived. (about 4 working days till send.. it was send yesterday.. today it arrived in germany with fed ex...)

It contains five cards with movie stills (black and white) and thre cards with poster arts. Additionally it contains a 32 pages counting booklet in italy with much text, infos about the movie, and the cast. But, I don't speak any italy, so it is not helpful for me.

The only information I could read are the comparison between the movie ruinning times in the booklet:

Running time Italy: 89 minutes (2427 meter movie)

Running time USA: 87 minutes (2380 meter movie)

The Menus are in italy, not in englisch, but itts not as hard to read as a menu in russia or japanese...

The first Disc is a DVD9 (containing 5.05 GB data), it contains the movie (I will add two caps as soon as possible) in englisch and italy, both in mono and 5.1 surround , but I don't own a surround system, so I can't check the quality of the 5.1 mix...

It only contains italian subtitles. :(

Sometimes there are some differences in the brightness of the black fields at top and bottom of the picture. (It is anamorphic, but its also 2,35:1, so there are black barrs)

The two missing scenes (stated in the imdb quote above) are in english.

The extras are:

- An italian trailer of the movie (3:45)

- Photo Gallery

- The complete Screenplay in Italy as PDF (47 MB)

The second disc is a DVD5 (2.16 GB data).

It is in italy, completely, without englisch subtitles.

- Interview with Dardano Sacchetti

- Intview with Pier Antonio Mecacci

- Interview with Franca Silvi

- A real cool feature: a map of rome with places marked used in the movie. Selecting one point you can see shortly the regarding scene and [b]sometimes[(b] you see a shot how the places looks now (about 2008).

- Differences between the US and the italy versions. I don' know whats the source of the picture for the US version, but there are some differences in the opening scene. Some shots of the dead city are quite different in order. The Credits in the italian version are in italy of course.. If the Comparison shows all differences than there are 3 different scenes: the Intro, the flashback and the dialogue...
