I was reading some stuff on DD2 they say it will be coming out in 2005. Just wanted to know what you guys think.

I was watchin DD again yesterday on TV, and I really dont understand why people didnt like it. Ya sure it had its unbelieveable points but still it was a very original movie and personally I loved it.

I THINK IT WAS BECAUSE BEN AFFLECK WAS IN THE MOVIE

I agree, and any one who says that it was a bad movie for that reason 1. has no tast and 2. is a complete idoit. personally i dont see why people dislike him so much. He is a good actor so i dont know why people dislike him enough to say that a movie was bad because he was in it.

I liked the movie as a whole. My only problem with it was that Kingpin doesn't have African roots whereas in the movie, he does. If a movie is based on a character in a comic book, they should look like their comic book counterparts. Other than that, i liked the movie.

I agree, kingpin was a white guy in the comics and it would have been better if they had kept that in the movie but haveing a black guy worked out too.

could you really think of any actors good for the role

I think Michael Clarke Duncan- besides making a good intimidating presence- is a hell of an actor and did pretty good as the Kingpin, considering that for the movie it was conceived as a pretty two dimensional character.

That being said, Ben Affleck needs to stop ruining movies right fucking now. I'm sick of his big chin and that stupid ass head shaking thing he does when he walks. He looks like that old McDonald's commercial Mac Tonight with the singing moon- his chin is worse than Jay Leno's. And the more money he makes the bigger his chin gets. It's true, look at his early movies and his chin is big, but look at his most recent ones and you can see that it's getting bigger. Must be like Pinocchio when he lies his chin gets bigger.

I don't really like Affleck.

I wish Affleck was in Baldwin's mansion when the Canadians bombarded it in "South Park:..."

LOL
I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

I'm not the one that said that. Personally, he doesn't bother me, but I guess others including my twin counterpart wouldn't mind seeing him sink in quicksand. Just so you recognize which one is which, I go by "Jedi Master" and he goes by "jedimaster". Also, you can read when that person signed up for the forum. I signed up the same month the petition started in March 2003, whereas he just joined this month (February 2004).

I said it- he did nothing to me, but be a halfass actor. I just don't like the guy. He's too full of himself and he never stops being Ben Assfleck for his roles. Plus, he does have a really big chin, but that's besides the point. I like Jay Leno even though he has a big chin.

Oh, and I think someone earlier in the thread was looking for this response?

Affleck is kinda hit or miss for me. I loved Chasing Amy and thought he was great in it. He was even pretty decent in Dogma and Good Will Hunting. However, it's the movies where he's not closely collaborating with Damon that he seems to suck in. Damon seems to bring out the best in him. I will amend this statement because I did enjoy Affleck in Changing Lanes and even thought Sum of All Fears was decent.

I did not like Daredevil and, sad to say, it was because of Affleck. I was in many forum discussions on newsaskew.com about Daredevil and we were discussing who would have made a great DD. Affleck was not on our list. This was back in preproduction before Affleck was actually cast. I wanted Damon to do it. So did many other people.

I liked much of the rest of the cast, though. Favreau as Foggy was brilliant. Farrell as Bullseye was a good choice but they did nothing with the character. The writers actually ruined him in my opinion. Garner as Elektra... no complaints here except there was not enough time spent in the black leather.

And I liked Duncan as Kingpin. I know he's black. God forbid. But on MovieMistakes.com, people tried to argue that the casting of Tommy Lee Jones as Harvey Dent/Two Face in Batman: Forever was a mistake since Dent was played by Billy Dee Williams in the first Batman flick. However, the webmaster said that all this represented was a change of casting like any other (read: Jack Ryan being played by Alec Baldwin then Harrison Ford then Ben Affleck). He believed that people need to see past color and realize that this was just a change of cast. Anyone that couldn't see past the difference in the color of their skin has severe issues. This thought made it easy for me to accept Duncan as a traditionally white character. Besides, I can't think of a single white actor that can look and play the part better than Duncan. He's a massive guy in terms of sheer size, and it would be easy to underestimate him as a fat, slow moron. However, he can hurt you just as well as the next guy if not more. And that's how Kingpin was supposed to be in the comics. He's a fat man that you wouldn't believe could be so strong and fast, but he is.

Please don't let Daredevil 2 happen! I thought the first one was one of the worst movies I saw in 2003.

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.
