I don't know if it's changed since my brother signed up (30 years ago), but here's how it worked for him.

1. You could get shipped out anywhere, including Iraq.

2. You get to choose "Overseas" or not. With the "Overseas" option, they can send you anywhere that's overseas, including Hawaii. If they decide to send you to Germany, that's where you'll have to go.

3. No idea about boot camp, but I suspect that as long as you follow orders and don't talk back, you'll be fine. If that isn't for you, then don't even bother. The military is not a democracy.

4. No idea and if they tell you there is one, make sure you get it in writing.

5. You would get shipped out fairly quickly, depending on if there's a base local to you or not.
