The only way I got rid of that on a computer was to reinstall the OS. Sorry bud.
Funny story. This computer had already crashed a couple years ago and they paid a ton of money to get it repaired and lost all of the their personal data. I opened up the case to see inside and there was their old hard drive, in perfect working order with all of their files on it! They paid me to fix it and let me keep the hard drive (only 20 GB, but I've been keeping my copies of Revisited on there so my wife doesn't complain about the full main drive).
