Oh...and I'm still planning on doing my own 2 disc extras set.

Your DL version was superb! all my friend's think so as well!

I've gotta tell you, that cover is awfully sweet.

As a huge Blade Runner fan, now that I've soaked up the 5-dsic box set, I was wondering if this project still had any traction? Would be nice to have at least a disc compiling a high quality "On the Edge of Blade Runner" doc plus the various other extras/docs that didn't make it to the beautiful briefcase edition.

I will be doing something like this. I will be taking the extras from my original set plus I have a bunch of extras that I've never "released."

This 5-disk briefcase edition box is great, and I just love the toys you get with it!

I'm so glad I got it as a gift from my best friend. I would have missed out if it was not for such a kind person.

Very cool. I do believe that there were supposed to be three photo galleries for the film (promotional items, advertisements) that were not put on the set due to space concerns, but they might be going up on the official website.

So will you be making essentially a disc six and seven to the already existing 5-Disc set? If so, then superb. What about the materials from the laserdiscs which weren't ported over? Will these be DL's? I'd only need disc labels and not a cover. Well, perhaps a cover which includes these two or whatever number you plan on having as an addition. Perhaps a cover for a dual thinpak? That'd save alot of space.

I won't be doing the artwork. I'll probably use the same artwork that I used for my HD2DVD version. It will probably be a dual-layer disc...if not 2 discs. I have to see how much stuff I can dig up.

Can't wait to see what you have in mind for this DFNYC. I typoed about the covers. Meant the disc labels actually. Hopefully there'll be a play-all in the seperate sections. Well, it's more likely this feature would be ustilised for all the interviews and miscaellaneus (haven't spelled that word out in a very long time...) other live action or animated segments. For stills such as concept art and storyboards should be kept in a seperate section. It'd be highly suitable to have the disc label art, for what's being essentially disc(s) 6 and/or 7 for the Ultimate Collector's Edition set, to mirror said disc label artwork. Doesn't need to have a 14mm thick case for it though. A double-disc thinpak is more than suitable for those with space saving needs. Hopefully the menus will be intricate too.
Perhaps a certain section devoted to the 1997 Westwood Studios video game in these supplemental discs would be great too. I own the 4-disc CD-ROM EA Classics (UK) edition of the game and have been eagerly wondering the background on the game development and everything. If you have the material for it. It's a great game too, except for a minor annoying part... Also has several multiple endings and events depending on what you do in the game.

Not sure if this is the perfect place for this question, but:

Anyone ever heard of a piano-only version of "Memories of Green" from Blade Runner? I was at a Chinese restaurant last night and I heard this playing on their "muzak" tape. Very surreal.

You know of the rebellion against the Empire?

I REALLY want to see this happen! The official 5 disc set is awesome, but it would be great to get a "supplemental" disc of material that didn't make it in there.

I am especially looking forward to some of those alternate soundtrack albums - some of those are really hard to find!

Hello, I may have something to contribute to your project.  I could get you German language audio streams from a laserdisc of the international cut, I may be able to do this for other cuts of the film as well or in some other languages.  Let me know if you're interested.

I haven't seen these listed, if you need them on the set I can upload them for you...

Any chance this might still be available somewhere or maybe someone willing to make it available?
