Also, this "obsessive asking" you're refering to is simply a hope that someone finishes the fine work they've started. I've made it a point to express my understanding that Laser (for instance) is busy and that I just hope someone who has the experience for what looks to be some pretty heavy edits can do an edit of this film. You mentioned yourself that the Superman Returns edit is being done by a special effects professional.
And you want US to just pick up some software and learn it? Come on...

I agree with you jones, though I will say that I do have Premiere and SOME experience with video work, as well as some decent experience with 3D modeling. So if I got my hands on some good tutorials, I could probably do a pretty good job of this ... I'm a very quick study, but I need something to study :) When it comes to compositing, I have no experience at all, so that would probably take more time.
