I knew amazon started selling groceries a few years ago, but I just cannot imagine anyone going through the trouble to pay postage and packing on a gallon of milk. It have to be wrapped in some thermal material to keep it within a safe temperature during its travels, and gallons of milk are fragile things, doesn't take much to bust one of those suckers open. I find it hard to believe amazon ever sold that product, and if they did it is not hard to see why they no longer carry it.
This kind can be stored in a pantry and doesn't need to be chilled until serving. It only needs to be refrigerated after opening. They also have scheduled deliveries so you aren't storing a bunch.
Low fat and non fat milk don't go bad that fast. Whole milk usually only lasts a week, so it has to be kept cold longer.
