You all KNOW thats not what I meant. I love episode 3. I was commenting on how the audience never gave it a chance, like all the prequels.

Then you obviously haven't been reading any of the posts surrounding yours.  Like the one I wrote directly above yours that said the first time I saw it I was enthralled.  And how about Erikstormtrooper's post right above this one that explains he liked it the first time but after repeat viewings he realized that it wasn't as good as he first thought.  He hit the nail on the head.  It's not a movie that holds up well under close scrutiny.  All of us gave the prequels a chance, otherwise we never would have seen them.  Conversely, I could say that I never gave The Clone Wars a chance because I never bothered to see it.  But since I saw ROTS three times in theatres, I think I gave it quite a large chance.  It is possible that people dislike certain movies not because they have a vendetta against a franchise or fans of a franchise but because they've (objectively as they can) weighed the good against the bad and ultimately decided it's not that good.  Just like I assume you love the prequels and special editions not because you simply love anything that has a Star Wars label attached to it no matter the value but because you honestly believe they're good movies.

Gaffer is very correct, Axia. Sometimes it feels you really don't spent a whole lot of time reading other peoples posts. There are quite a few people, I'd actually go as far as to say the majority of vocal members on these boards, who either don't mind the PT or absolutely love it.

Gaffer admitted that he never gave Clone Wars a chance, well where he failed I succeeded, I watched several episodes and commented that it wasn't a half bad show for its intended audience. I found it rather juvenile, but that should be no mark against it as it is juvenile because it is intended for children. Some members here older than myself find it entertaining, that is well and good for them, but I myself found it no more entertaining than I would find any other show intended for kids. I do not watch it and I don't feel like I am missing anything. I gave it plenty of chance, just like I gave the other three movies plenty of chance. I just didn't like them. My opinion. My feelings on the matter. It is fantastic that you love them so much, I just don't. I am sure I like many movies you don't, and I wouldn't even think about second guessing you to say, "Well hell, you just didn't like them because you didn't give them a chance!" If you bothered to pay the price of a movie ticket to sit through the movie you gave it plenty of chance.

More proof that I have given them a chance is the fact that I have defended The Phantom Menace on these boards on multiple occasions.

Another member here named Zombie who you would probably ranked among the rest of us PT haters, has also defended them saying that they are not particularly good films, but they certainly are not the worst ever made as some of us make them out to be. He most certainly gave them a chance, but still didn't think they were all that great.

Sure there are a few around who did not give it a chance, but I'd say that number is a very, very small percentage of us all.
