Disney had a licencing arrangement with Jim Henson Productions that resulted in two TV series (Dinosaurs and Muppets Tonight) and three movies (Muppetvision 3-D for the theme parks, and The Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island). The deal was finalised shortly before Jim Henson's death, but family members weren't too happy about the arrangement and spent many dollars and years suing to get out of it, only to have it lapse naturally shortly after the release of Muppet Treasure Island. This deal has Eisner's fingerprints all over it; I personally would have preferred to see Sony Pictures buy the Muppets, since they have done the best job of handling Muppet material.
