i never saw the old show and this one seems to be very good. so i like the idea of a new series

all I had to hear to know it sucked was that they recast Starbuck as a woman. I'm sorry if I sound like a sexist pig but I just don't think it will work.

Also if the Starbuck had orginaly been cast as a female then was recast in the new series a man would the womens groups think that was fair?

The only thing I really loved was how they reinterpreted the character of Balthasar. I also kinda fancied the story element of the preserved older technology being superior weapons against the cylons.
Other than that, I prefer the original 100%.

Come to think of it, I think Knight Rider's K.I.T.T. might also be something that got built out of stolen cylon technology from area 51. o_O

That KITT bit was funny, MSD.

And I agree on Balthasar. They did a great job with him. And that whole affair with a Cylon bit was well done as well.

1978-79 was the only season it was out. Then they had Galactica 2000 or some such that was part of a season in 1980 but not with all the same cast members. You only want to watch the main season. If it doesn't have Starbuck of Apollo, you don't want to bother.

i dont remember the original season that much, but i remember having seen when i was a kid, i should maybe see it again.

It's on DVD now in the states so it should be in R2 sometime soon, I would hope.

Hell, they're even rereleasing it in the States in new packaging for those who didn't like how the big Cylon helmet looked on their DVD rack (if it fit at all).
