Nothing morbid about it by any means, just reality.

It is sad really, all these kids who grew up idolizing George Lucas, only to find themselves in adulthood secretly waiting for him to kick the bucket just so they can finally have their damn childhood films on some watchable media in watchable quality (it is also really sad we can't just say, "on DVD" or "on Blu-ray" instead of having to use whole sentences to describe exactly what kind of a standard of quality it should reach. The whole SW situation is such a silly joke, sometimes I feel like I might wake up and find a fully remastered box set in my DVD library finely crafted and packed with extras, wipe the sweat of my forehead and say, "Phew, what a rediculous dream that was!"

I mean seriously, it really is just that unbelievably stupid of a situation; here is a product high in demand that is sure to sell better than 99% of most DVD on the market, and yet we cannot have it, not for any practical reasons but merely because the creator decided he doesn't think we should.

George Lucas is such an Indian-giver,

GEORGE: "Hey, look at these movies I made, aren't they kwel?"

FAN: "Suite! Those movies are awesome! They are my most favoritest movies of all time! I will love them and cherish them until I am old and wrinkled like Obi-Wan!"

GEORGE: "Tits! Glad you like them, and by the way, thanks for all the money you have given me."

FAN: "Ah, it is really nothing George, when there is something as cool as Star Wars in our lives, who needs money?"

years pass...

FAN: "Dude, these movies are so friggin awesome! I'll never grow tired of-- Oh, hey Goerge, how's it goin' pal? Long time no... what are you doing? Hey, I was watching that! Wait, George? What are you doing? No. That's my movie George, no, George I need that. George! GEORGE! What are yoy doing? No, please don't take it away from me. You gave those to me George. No! I need them George, I need them! Noooooo! Noooooooooooo!"

GEORGE: [displays middle finger over shoulder as he walks away]

...

the end?
