Right now, all of them. It's a registry thing going on. I'm going to install Vegas again, hopefully get a clean install this time. The projects were converting fine until project five, now they all give me this registry error. It's okay I'll "pick up" a "better" copy of Vegas once demonoid is back online. [EDIT] Okay never mind, I cleaned the gunk out of the mouse, turned the monitor on and off, and it fixed itself.
I'll take care of that. Just use the original purple clips for now. We can splice the effects shots into the MPEG at the very end if we need to.
If when you finish these you just want to encode the lightsaber matte, specifying the shot and what not, I can layer them over the clip, then if it gets upgraded to HD it wouldn't be a drop in quality for those shots. Or if it doesn't get upgraded to HD then it doesn't matter.
Yep. I definitely wouldn't try that until the end. When I first brought it up I wasn't actually talking about encoding it in HD, I was thinking that if we swap out the DVD source with the HD source where possible, it'll make a lot of those shots that I cropped for framing look a LOT better. But you would still do a final encode in DVD resolution...otherwise we would have to redo the opening crawl, redo the lightsabers, etc. I definitely wouldn't worry about it now....
Well I'd like to see what we could get out of it if we tried. The opening crawl and lightsaber mattes will look just fine matted on top of the HD I think. The crawl I can isolate by chroma-keying out space and the stars, and layer that on top of the HD starfield from the HD. I did the same thing for my Star Wars edit, although the excessively bad quality of the source didn't work so good going into the distance, but yours will probably look okay. Maybe HD was too far a stretch, especially with the other footage mixed in, but I have a copy of it on my hard drive if I can make it work, but it seems like we're moving toward no. It's alright, maybe when we get to ROTS things will change. :)
Yes, we need a couple lines from Sluggo and MTHaslett. I think I told you which lines in the "readme," if not let me know. Also, Octorox would like to help out (with Jar-Jar maybe) but one of us needs to send him sample dialogue.
