Agreed. Its not like Han was shooting an unarmed guy, this was a guy sent to kill him. It was self defense already, just badass self defense. it didn;t need to be made silly.

Anyone remember when this scene wasn't the posterchild for the decline of SW, this actually use to be my favorite scene in ANH, and now all I can think about it is how it was bastardized.
