I'm kinda OCD with stuff like that myself, started noticing things like that as a kid. ;)

 

What about when R2 finds Leia on the Death Star in the computer.

3PO: I dont know sir, he keeps saying I found her and that she's here.

Luke: Who?

(At this point R2 makes no sound after the found her bit)

3PO: Princess Leia

What did R2 do, mime who it was afterward?

Adywan, if you ever go back to patch anything else, please add a beep or two from R2 before 3PO says who?

R2 doesn't need to make a sound there at all. He would have already told 3po it was the princess when he was making all that noise

Something like that.  The group is also there specifically to rescue Leia at that point.  Who ELSE would R2 be talking about when he tells 3P0 "she's here"?

Don't forget that a lot of times, what 3PO says is solely for the benefit of the audience. Sometimes, he doesn't have to say anything and we figure out what was implied. It can be better that way, because sometimes it can start to feel like we're being led by the hand.

^I converted the xvid version for my iPod using Total Video Converter. It looks and sounds good, but...it was artificially stretched to fullscreen. Looks weird.

http://mediaconverter.org/ might work, but the files may be too big. Haven't really tried. That's a great site for converting smaller things, like YouTube videos and such.

I think this might work for you.  I was thinking of doing that myself, thanks for reminding me.

if you have the DVD5 or DVD9 use Handbrake

Sorry, there is no XVID of Purist.  Someone may have made one, but the official Purist release is a DVD5.

Handbrake looks cool.  I might have to use it to make my copy for iPod.

And is it properly framed, or stretched like mine turned out? (forces the widescreen to stretch to fullscreen)

I bookmarked Handbrake and will try adding something to the ol' 'pod later. Maybe some ANH:R, a little The Day the Earth Stood Still (the good one), Zoolander, The Iron Giant... The possiblities are endless! ;) (especially since I still have nearly 50 GB free on it. Haha.)

it sized it right and it doesnt lag like other programs did. :D

as for now i'm putting all six films on. I'll be putting the first releases of  empire and jedi because of the 2004 dvd's crappy color until i can replace them with adywans edits :D
