yeh, thats the thing i was talking about. i just had to change it original design in that shot. The guy uses the same binoculars as Luke does earlier on in the movie yet the viewscreen is completely different. So that had to be changed. i guess i though some people may ahve a problem because i changed something that they though might not have needed changing.
As for the lasers, there was never any motion blur on the original lasers. the new ones have just been overlaid on top of the old ones. i didn't add any motion blur to ANH:R so i won't be adding any motion blur to them in ESB & ROTJ

Luke speeder now has the dark grey panels on the snowspeeder in the hangar to match the model

Added some troopers firing in the trenches
Added the gun turrets firing with added recoiling motion
New lasers
Removed the red cockpit from the lead AT-AT
New binocular viewscreen to match Lukes seen earlier in movie
Added red panels to snowspeeders in hangar
Added more speeders as they approach the battle to match the following shot

I also see more speeders flying by the turret. From originaly only 4 to 9.
Watched it and very happy.
Although I think there are slightly to many AT-Ats, and close together at that. But yes, I love the new guns recoil.

That's a lot of work for one minute of film. And that doesn't include the color correction. I love it.

Not sure if anyone's interested in this at all but last week i did an interview for impradio.com which was transmitted Saturday on their live 100th show. Its about 20 minutes long and i sound like shit because i've got a cold. It was a totally surreal experience being interviewed though plus i'd been up all night working on revisited so i was a bit groggy. lol You can tell that from my stupid verbal mistake calling fanedit.org "faneditor.org". I was half asleep and felt like shit when i was doing it. oh well.

In the dagobah clip posted a few pages earlier, I thought Artoo looked a little monochrome. Not enough blue to him.

I agree with the above poster that the AT-ATs need to be spread out a little more on 0:59. Maybe have the front 2 or 3 AT-ATs shoot in the first volley shot (right after the binoc reveal). It also looks like the AT-AT on the furthest left doesn't move (looks like it is sitting still) As a suggestion, you could create 2 "V" patterns of 5 AT-ATs to suggest a formation as opposed to a random group.
And I really wish you would reconsider taking out the red windows. It would have been really cool to see all of those AT-ATs with the red windows (especially in the close-up head shots; we could have seen Veers and co. inside). It would really help take away the "modelly" look.
I would also have the snowspeeders from 0:49 to 0:58 go forward and up as opposed to just forward so it doesn't look like they are on tracks. Also check out 0:22; is that large boxey area underneath Luke's snowspeeder supposed to be there (or is that there for the crane that was lifting the mock-up)?
Notice that the boxey area underneath Luke's SS goes all the way down to the bottom of the wings. If you watch the fly-over at 1:08 the bottoms are relatively flat.
Also, should there be an extra SS on the right at 1:11 to 1:12? Everything seems to be bunched to the left of the screen.

I thought you really carried yourself off well in the radio interview. You gave honest, straight to the point, non-bull ship answers, unlike Mr. Lucas does in his interviews. Though the interviewers could of come up with more taxing questions for you IMHO. They sounded like bigger kiss-ass clueless idiots than some who post here :-p Myself included on that one!
Monroville, you can't work from the original Kenner models as they are all so far out from the orginal film models its unbelievable. I do agree with you, yes, and on the AT-AT windows (although that one may be a dead argument) Im just looking to see if i have a pic of the original speeder underbelly to quote you right on that one.

Maybe it's just my monitor, but on the split-screen clip of the Dagobah approach, at about 0:16-0:17 R2's pannels appear to be black. The pannels are blue in the two or three other shots in the clip.

Wow, I really like what you've done there, Ady. I think those complaining about the AT-AT number are just used to the old amount, the same way I was used to the old Death Star battle at first (I even hated the SE version of it, and that wasn't that different), but I got used to that real quick.

R2's panels are definately blue. If i made them more blue, which they don't need to be, then they would start looking as fake as they do in the SE.

No, that was in ANH only. In ANH they were red squadron but in ESB they are rougue squadron so no need to change them to red

ok, i am having to use existing footage of the AT-ATs to add the numbers. Due to their angles spreading them out further starts to look odd as the perspective is thrown out. i may be able to tweak it slightly but not by much.
Also the snowspeeder set piece has that box underneath because that is what the forklift was attached to to make them rise. There is nothing i can do about that
The snowspeeders are all coming from the same direction as they have just come out of the hangar so they would all be coming from the left as they are in formation.
Adding red windows to the AT-Ats would mean that i would have to tint the insides red and fake lighting looks just that.. fake, and i am not prepared to do that, especially when it doesn't need to be done.
Tinting dagobahs atmosphere green is not going to happen. If i were to do something like that then that would mean that all the fog and clouds on dagobah should also be green tinted. Clouds are white and dagobah is covered with them. We see a quick shot of the planet then luke straight away says "yeh, that's it. Dagobah" . So we know which planet it is. I never had a problem with knowing which planet is which for the past 28 years so i see no reason to change them now. Some things just don't need explanation. Thats one of the major problems with the PT. everything seems to get a huge explanation as if the story talks down to the audience because they might be too thick to know what's going on.
One thing you have to remember is that i am not a miracle worker. I can only work with what footage i have available. making the speeders move any differently in the hangar is almost impossible because of other elements in the shot. Removing the box from underneath Lukes speeder is also impossible. as it lifts there is a trooper guiding the speeder out. If i remove the box then he would have no head and no way of replacing it

Excellent work Ady! And here I thought Empire was just about perfect. One thing that always bothered me about Empire was: Why Didn't the Snowspeeders flank the AT-AT's or come up from behind? My Dad always said "You can pick up a snake, just watch out for the sharp end!" AT-AT's seem dangerous only from the front not the rear. They lost half thier numbers before they even got to fire a shot.

About removing that box below Luke's speeder. I am betting some would say cut to the next scene just before it is revealed. But that seems to mess the music score up.
Just a quick comment on the Imperial Walkers first seen in the distance, it seems a bit like they are even or close to being all lined up even in a row, when clearly later some are in front, while others are behind. That may be something to think about, just my 2 cents.
I just started listening to the radio interview and now I know how to pronounce "Adywan". Its more like "81" than "Add eee wan", which I still sounded out in my head when I just typed it. I'll have to retrain my brain. When I speak out loud about Revisited, I usually just call him "The Fan Editor". :-)
